The insanity continues into Page 4, with no end in site. This entire page is dedicated to the sheer insanity
posted at the sailormoon.com forums. Here, people actually believe that they are really characters from the
show, the laws of spelling and grammar are suspended, and every post is responded to with a flame. Plus, it's
a nest of extremely bizarre rumors as everyone tries to beat each other with the most "accurate" information
on the Internet. It's liable to make your head explode, but here they are, if you dare...

A note: The following set was from someone justifying the show as having 6 seasons. As they badly
split up the story arcs and gave really bad descriptions of each, I'm going to count each one separately
and spare you reading another uber-long paragraph.
New as of: 03/24/05
Naoko is not only straight and married to a man, but she's said time and again that they're lesbians. Also, the
English dub did not have any such introduction in the first appearances of Amara and Michelle. Their dub
introduction episode actually dodged the question of their relationship entirely. It wasn't for a few more
episodes that their dub status as cousins was revealed.
While it's suggested (by the pair themselves)
that they probably do have sex, they are never shown having sex. If you think you've found a picture
of them doing that, it's probably from a hentai doujinshi.
Which is why she chooses Haruka over other men.
She does tease Mamoru in the manga and Seiya in the anime (briefly), but she doesn't seriously fall for
them.
The R break-up is already covered in Common Legends. Mamoru didn't write
any letters back to Usagi because he was DEAD. Galaxia killed him and stole his Star Seed while he
was on his way to America. Can't really hold that against the poor guy.
Pretty
hard to be the Senshi of Earth when your son has the Star Seed/Sailor Crystal for the planet.
And what would senshi status have to do with Usagi's love life anyway?
Which is why she is Sailor Chibimoon, and she says "Moon Prism
Power, Make-Up!" and her speech invokes the name of the future Moon.
This is a perfect example of why I make sarcastic comments here
instead of real debunkings. Unfortunatly, the ALL CAPS is giving me a headache, so I can't really
think of anything intelligent, so I'll just say that in both the anime and manga, it is implied
in the last series that the Serenity lineage can only have one princess.
And they turn
into Nehru Mask and Tuxedo Boxers.
Yes, and gullible is written on the ceiling. There's
no Sailor Earth because Mamoru has the Star Seed/Sailor Crystal for Earth. Since men can't
be Sailor Senshi, he isn't a Senshi either, but he does possess the planet's Star Seed/Sailor
Crystal. No, there's no long-lost sibling or anything. It's Mamoru.
If you're going to put yourself under the influence of hallucinogenic substances, perhaps
you shouldn't read Sailormoon fanfics at the same time. Capiece?
What part of "THE END" did you not understand?
While Codename
wa Sailor V started first, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon premiered early in the run of Sailor V,
and they ran simultaneously, though Sailor V did not follow a monthly schedule. It's run ended
a few months after BSSM ended.
Only 1/8th the evil of your full doom.
What is it with you people trying to find Sailor
Earth in the show?! ARGH! It's destruction, by the way. While Saturn does have the character for "earth" in her surname, it's not the character for the planet Earth, it's actually the character for the
earth as in the soil or the ground, where fireflies come from. Her first name means "Firefly."
"I'll have just a dab of Setsuna Mayo on my sub." Amazing that someone could
get every single name wrong. And combine Rei and Makoto into one person.
Not only
has SOS been on bad terms with Tokyopop/Mixx since 1998, but Tokyopop doesn't even have the rights
for the Sailormoon anime.
So SailormoonS was just a big
family fued? Only Uranus and Neptune are cousins in the dub.
And babies come
from cabbage patches.
Hey, a new way to butcher
Michiru's name! And Usagi is not the only other cast member. Can we say "homophobia?" How do
you "talk gay" anyway?
Okay, I think
I can pick out an Asimov reference. Plus, the author's a real space case too! Ho ho ho, I slay myself.
For Rei to be Hotaru's mother, she
would have had to give birth to her at age 2. Senshi or not, it is still not possible for two year olds
to give birth.
Yes, Diana and Superfly.
Mistress 9!
Mistress 9! Mistress 9! Mistress 9! How many more times do I have to say it?
Chibichibi is Galaxia's star seed. She's
not actually Galaxia herself.
Where to start?
Sailor Moon never killed Mistress 9. Sailor Moon refused to kill Mistress 9 because she wanted to save
Hotaru, and gave Mistress 9 the Holy Grail because she thought it would free Hotaru. Hotaru actually
killed Mistress 9-she turned into Sailor Saturn, and in the process killed Mistress 9. Hotaru never dies.
Nobody really knows what happened inside of Master Pharaoh 90. All that's shown on camera is Saturn
going in, Super Sailor Moon chasing her in after getting powered up by the other nine Senshi, Master
Pharaoh 90 being destroyed, and then Super Sailor Moon appearing with baby Hotaru in her arms. Haruka
and Michiru don't start caring for Hotaru during the anime until Sailor Stars. Tomoe raises her
during SuperS and Pluto comes and takes her away at the beginning of Stars. Hotaru doesn't return
to her normal age until Sailor Stars, and even then, she looks to be closer to Chibi Usa's age than her
previous "normal" age.
Whether Chibi Usa and Helios even get married or
not, they don't have Chibi Chibi.
Sailormoon hasn't crossed
over with any show, period. Neither has DragonballZ. While there is a hentai DVD floating around
the Net called "Sailor Moon and the Seven Balls", it is NOT official. Yes, I realize that sounds
like a rumor. I thought so too, until I was notified of it via e-mail (thanks Stara_Gurl!)
and one of the reviews I got for the site. A quick eBay search brought it up, plain to see.
Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction O_o
Actually,
she's been Mini Moon in other countries too. It's because Chibi means "small" in Japanese. The shagadelic
one had nothing to do with the dubbing.
Would these close relationships
also entail sleeping with each other? Sigh...denial, denial, denial...
He's Prince of a little
known planet called Earth. Perhaps you've heard of it? And no, no matter how many times people post
some bastardization of the non-existant Sailor Earth, you will not suddenly override the Sailormoon canon
and make it true.
Though
Phobos and Deimos do have brief human forms in the Dream arc of the manga, they are not actually Sailor
Senshi. Ian pointed out to me that Phobos and Deimos do have sailor crystals, and Sailor Lead Crow takes them,
but Phobos and Deimos never became Senshi yet. They were said to have been training, but obviously
they never made it as far as becoming Senshi in their own right. About those moons...Jupiter, as of
this time, has 54 known moons. I think we'd have heard about all those Senshi by now.
Tsukikage no Knight only showed up in the R filler arc. After that, everybody completely forgot about him. Mamoru
dies in Stars and doesn't reappear in any incarnation until the final episode, when Sailor Moon saves
everyone's star seeds and they all return to life.
Okay, who is this "Christie" and what did she do to get a city named after her?!
Seeing how she just said in October that she
cannot write any more Sailor Moon manga, coupled with the fact that she's writing two more
manga series at the moment, I think it's fair to say she's done with Sailormoon, at least for now.
What the...that project never went much further
than a suggestion from Geena Davis, who wanted to play Beryl. There was no information on the plot,
actors, or yarn wigs. The only live-action Sailormoon you're going to find is SeraMyu, the popular
musicals running in Japan, and the new Pretty Guardian Sailormoon live-action series, both of which are unavailible outside Japan. And while Kirsten Dunst is indeed a fan of Sailor Moon and has expressed interest in watching a
Sailor Moon live-action movie, she added that she wouldn't want to play the part of a superhero. That
includes Sailor Moon.
In the manga, Mamoru has the the Sailor Crystal
for Earth, which is the Golden Crystal that played such a big role in the Dream arc of the manga. That's
the closest you'll get to a golden starseed.
Sometimes, even I have no idea what these people are saying.
So here, in all it's grammatically challenged glory, a rumor that makes no sense. All I can say is,
where did the three moon sailors come from?
I never
knew the Dark Kingdom was responsible for the destruction of Napster. They ARE evil!
See that great big
brain-thingy that Beryl keeps talking to and giving energy? That's Metaria. She's in the manga
too, again as a weird sort of creature.
Actually, several
characters mention her name in the show. For a long time, Beryl only refers to her as "Our Great Leader,"
but as the story began to unfold, we learned Metaria's name.
O_O I'm not
going to ask. In fact, I'll just say that the Dark Kingdom was destroyed for good, and leave
it at that.
So Haruka went 15 years of her life not even knowing about basic human anatomy?!
*deep breath* For the last time...Takeuchi has said MANY TIMES that she made the characters
homosexuals. OKAY?! I'll believe her over some nut on a message board any day.
No. Just...no. I will thank the SOS for the gross misinterpretation
of the Japanese culture that has been haunting the Internet since 1998. Despite how close these
girl's friendships can get in Japan, sexual feelings are not part of the deal. Now, leave
these two poor girls alone and let them love each other!
Not only is the spelling, grammar, and narrow-minded
thinking atrocious, but Amara and Michelle really ARE cousins in the English dub. The dub did a lousy
job of cutting out their original relationship, but Michelle and Amara's lines are changed to show
that they like guys! Argh...my head hurts...
No, there's no
porn in the Japanese Sailormoon. If you want Sailormoon porn, you won't find it from the actual show
or manga. Now, please go back to grade school to learn proper grammar before you post your false
information!
Actually, it's implied
that the Starlights are the senshi of three moons of KINMOKU. You know, that planet they come from?
The one they always talk about?
Asexual
reproduction would lead to an exact duplicate of the queen, not an independent child.
Basic biology, folks.
Just because Serenity's father was never mentioned in the series doesn't mean he didn't exist.
There's no evidence to support that she was born without a father.
This isn't Kingdom Hearts! If you're referring to
her Pure Heart, that's a different item entirely, and she got it back just after it was taken
out.
Only scene even remotely similar
to this that I can think of was that she almost kissed Demando because he hypnotized her. She
still didn't turn evil, because not only did she remember her love for Mamoru, but Tuxedo
Kamen also rescued her.
Though Fiore looks like a Makaiju alien, he's never said to have any
connections to the tree. The Flower of Life Fiore gives Mamoru is actually his own life force.
It's not explained beyond that, seeing how Fiore is just a minor movie villain.
Yes, of Minako. All right, I'll repeat myself
again-just because Serenity's father was never shown doesn't mean that she was born without
a father! If there was something unnatural about her birth, besides Nehellenia cursing her to die
before she ascended to the throne, it would have been mentioned in the manga.
Just gotta love it when people can say "A year or so" so the false information can last a while
longer than it normally would without a date. No announcements of Stars dubbing or subbing yet,
okay? If you want to see it that bad, get the fansubs and make do!
Oh, so SHE buried Paul.
Yea, seeing how Fish Eye is a fish who
was given the human form of an effeminate man and Berthier is a human woman.
Having a similar strategy doesn't make them rip-offs. Besides, Jadeite and Al never trick anyone into falling
in love with them, period. They tend to attract women, but they don't attract women on their own. Tiger's
Eye and Hawk's Eye aren't ripping each other off because the entire Trio happen to go after people
that match their romantic interest (Young girls, older women, men.) Nephrite does play with Naru to
get something out of her, but he's the only one in this group that does this. Then he wound up falling
in love with her.
ARGH! They're not even
the same ages!
My head hurts. At least they've
stopped calling them rip-offs. Okay, Venus and Uranus using yellow energy have nothing in common, especially
when you consider that Venus uses attacks based on love and metal and Uranus uses sky-based attacks. Big
difference there. Jupiter's powers have nothing to with Mother Earth, they're based on the element of
wood and thunder. Pluto's (who the hell is Pulto?!) powers come from her father Chronos, not Father
Time, and have nothing to do with wood, thunder, or earth. Saturn's powers aren't silence, they're ruin,
and Mars uses fire-based attacks. I'm still trying to wrap my head around the silence-spirit connection,
but I digress. Finally, Mercury's powers are water and ice and Neptune is the ocean. Not as big a difference,
but still, they're not meant to be a match, it just means that Takeuchi just re-used water in a different
sense because Neptune is named for the Roman god of the sea. Whew!
For the last time, the Sailor Moon live-action movie was dead in the water. It never
got past a suggestion from Geena Davis wanting to play Queen Beryl. After that, everything else
is fan speculation. Besides, why would the failure of an animated movie affect a live-action film unless
it was the same property?
The proper Japanese reference would be the "Dark Kingdom" stories,
but that's not it either! The Japanese storyline that dealt with that was simply called "Bishoujo Senshi
Sailor Moon." The separate "seasons" (actually series - Japan does not use seasons) were denoted by the
changing title of the show. Also, Negaverse is purely a dub invention - it does not exist in Japan.
This grammar is making my head hurt X_x Anyway, those two storylines
were two different story arcs of the same series, Sailormoon R. The "Negaverse" did not send Alan and Ann,
even in the dub - they gave some offhand remark about Queen Beryl telling them the planet had energy, but that
was it. The Japanese version didn't even reference the Dark Kingdom, which was destroyed at the end of the
previous series. The villains weren't all connected in the Japanese version. When referring to the Japanese
version, people call this the "Makaiju Arc," because the Doom Tree is the English name. Even the dub gave up
the name of "Nega Moon" eventually and went with "Black Moon."
WOW. And you know, this post was supposed to be clearing up misconceptions. Let's start...by now, the dub gave up on the Negaverse theme, so they're gone. It's not Horatio, it's Hotaru. This series was called Sailormoon S (Super), R was the previous series and it stood for "Romance, Return, Rondo, etc." It was not rated R. Haruka and Michiru weren't practicing incest, they weren't related! Hotaru is not "gothic" or "goth" for that matter. Even if she was, that wouldn't give it an R rating.
He's not a unicorn, he's a Pegasus, and that is the worst synopsis of Sailormoon SuperS I have ever read.
Wow, Seiya's name changed three times that sentence and they were all wrong. And they don't have any sex either. Poor Seiya, getting bashed like that. Plus they left out the villains and the Nehellenia arc.
O_O Somebody was measuring? They didn't look different to me, but I'm not going to sit here and try to measure cartoon breasts.
These characters are all from two of the musicals, Sailor Stars and Eien Densetsu. They were invented purely for the musicals and do not appear in the manga, or the anime for that matter.
Wow, not only are those false, but somebody actually got the mis-translated "Death Ribbon Revolution" in there.
The episode ends when Mamoru has just come back and Usagi is STILL 16. Act 52 of the manga, the last chapter, does show them marrying, but the anime stops in the present instead of the future.
Sure, if you ignore everything the anime and manga told us. The manga shows Mercury, Mars, Jupiter, Venus, and Pluto as children in the Silver Millenium in their Senshi uniforms, and frequently implies that they were soldiers AND rulers. In the anime, they weren't princesses in the past, they were always soldiers, and we see them as soldiers fighting the Dark Kingdom in flashbacks during the first series. We were also told repeatedly that Uranus, Neptune, Pluto, and Saturn defended the kingdom from outside attacks, so they were probably soldiers for a long time. Pluto gained her duties of protecting the Space-Time Door as a child. The only person who was not a soldier during the Silver Millenium was Serenity.
Ah, finally, a break from the monthly Mamo-chan bashing! Usagi did not date either person. Both Haruka and Seiya came on to Usagi, but she did not reciprocate those feelings. Cheating would require she did something beyond a) denying advances or b) being completely blind to less than subtle romantic hints.
Uhhh...Makoto is male? Oh, you meant Mamoru. Yea, I can see those brotherly feelings in the SailormoonR movie (which was called "Promise of the Rose in the US), what with him willingly giving his life for his lover and that big ol' kiss at the end of the movie with Usagi. Because brother figures just love to kiss their sibling figures.
Even SOS isn't that badly informed. Rei's grandfather was just a dirty old man, a common staple of many anime series, who flirted with younger girls, liked to peek up their skirts, and propositioned them, but he didn't abuse them. He also never hits on Rei. The SOS says the same thing, believe it or not.
All Takeuchi Naoko has done is announce the existence of said series, but in her announcements, she has stated that she doesn't know the plot or other details and openly wonders about the content. This would indicate that Takeuchi has little influence over the show.
They just look alike, they're not cousins. Don't you think somewhere within the 200 anime episodes, 52 manga chapters, and 6 artbooks, somebody would have brought this up?
Yea, because fully-clothed girls looking at game posters and entering arcades is such a hentai staple. Takeuchi actually had to fight with Nakayoshi in order to get them to let her draw the skirts as short as they are. The editors thought they were too revealing and should be longer. Takeuchi later drew an image for the Inifinity Collection of Usagi topless and said her editors were shocked. She is racy enough on her own. For the rest of this, the members of the Sailor Moon cast do not
appear during Sailor V until the very last chapter, when Minako fully recovers her memory of the past and we see her remembering being a soldier and
seeing the other Senshi with the Princess.
Argh...what don't people understand about this?! Sailor Saturn is the SAME PERSON as Hotaru. Hotaru kept going into convulsions and releasing power when Mistress 9 would try to gain control of her. Sailor Saturn had nothing to do with Hotaru's seizures.
Dah, they're not INCESTUOUS! They're cousins in the dub only, and the lesbianism was removed from the dub scripts! And the others aren't bisexual or homosexual for that matter, not as though that makes any difference to the slashers anyway.
Cosmos can't be in the same place as her past self. The manga shows that she CAN exist as Chibi Chibi with Sailor Moon, but notice that she does not take her true form until after Sailor Moon throws herself into the cauldron. This seems to imply that if Cosmos takes an alternate form, she can exist with her past self at the same place. Thus, all she was able to do in the past was encourage Sailor Moon to take a different path.
But they were cut after Takeuchi said she didn't like them. Sorry!
Except for that Neptune chick, but we all know that Neptune cast a wicked hentai spell on Uranus and gave her...THE GAY!
This sounds more like Michiru, actually, who HAS flirted with a few men, though it's usually to get at Haruka. Haruka only flirts with women, however.
Elezbian? Is that a cult or something?
Does that make Endymion the Prince of Disney World?
So now Endymion is a POKEMON?! And Serenity is a GUY?!
Seiya would seem to be all gay considering how she's a woman in DISGUISE.
"In the name of Kinmoku, I will...BA-KAWK! Darn, laid another one..."
Except there's still that pesky issue that he kept comparing Usagi to Kakyuu and the other lights remembered Seiya's love for their princess...
Except that En has green skin, lives on another planet, and was never seen AGAIN in the entire series. Look, Chibi Usa is Usagi and Mamoru's daughter, okay? Hate her all you want, but that doesn't erase her parentage.
Cartoon Network hasn't said anything about why the cancelled the show, but as they are prone to removing programs rather frequently, it's not out of the ordinary either. In Sailormoon's case, the ratings took a nosedive after the series ran out of new material, so I would assume low ratings played a big role. However, I am quite confident that the decision to pull the show was not decided because the executives decided they sucked.
And I'm sure that in an alternate universe far away, it is...
Sheesh, Mamo-chan, stop cheating on Usagi with all the delusional people who think they're Senshi! Aren't you afraid of catching something like this?
Which is why she opens every episode in the first season by saying she's 14.
So, basically, what you're saying is that Sailor Moon is the anime version of a Chick tract?
A quick WHOIS search shows the site is registered to someone in Tokyo named Saito Naoki.
First, DiC lost the rights to Sailormoon a few years ago. They've not reacquired them. Second, Pioneer (now Geneon) subtitled S and SuperS as well as the movies with no cuts, and distributed the Cloverway dub. They had no say in the content of the dub.
Oh, goodie, the old "Mamoru sucks!" rumors! And here is the usual "Mamoru must be gay because I don't like him and want a stupid reason for him to not be with Usagi." Only now it's supposed to be "evil." I love bigotry!
"Raiping"? Either he got arrested for rape (which I would classify as evil), or he got a rap sheet for...rapping? Which is evil only if he did it with Eminem. Either way, Mamoru has done neither and no anime zines that actually exist have claimed this.
Salena...didn't Jennifer Lopez play her a few years ago?
So Sailor Earth is the...PRINCE of Earth? Did SOS write this?
And when I say watch both versions, I mean these versions that I just made up now!
The American version did intend for the girls to be cousins. However, as many a fan will tell you between gasps of laughter, they didn't do a very good job of making them PLATONIC cousins. So it rather frequently looks like they're practicing incest along with homosexuality.
Yes, if you think about it ON CRACK.
Especially when Haruka put Usagi in a baking pan, covered her with sauce,
and told her to wait until the oven pre-heated...YES! I finally got to do a joke about cannibalism! One of my life long dreams is achieved!
Oh boy are the guys on Genvid going to have fun with this one...
I don't believe a man can fly.
I don't believe you, but I read it anyway. Of course, I am a loser with no life who scours message boards for crazy rumors...my life is a joke...
Earth is a planet. If you lived on a
star...well, you'd have already burst into flames from the intense heat and you'd be dead long before you
ever read this...
Yes, this is from the same person
who wrote the Sailor Earth rumor a few rumors up this page. So...I guess Amara and Michelle aren't the only
ones into incest!
So not even Sailor Earth, but a Sailor Earth wanna-be?
Kinda sad, really.
Sailor Moon never asks this, because she IS called "Sailor Chibi Chibi
Moon," and the manga still calls her that. In English. Volume 12 of the reprinted manga includes a sticker of the cover
of Volume 11 (which depicted her) with "SAILORCHIBICHIBIMOON" written on it.
