Darien's last name is Phillips. Well, it's better than Shields, but unlike Shields, Phillips is a rumor, while Shields, crappy though it is, was actually used in an official English translation.
Serena's last name is Eddington. In an alternate universe where the show was dubbed in the UK.
Sailor Cosmos is Chibi Chibi's ultimate form that only appears once in the very end of the Stars anime using her ultimate powers to help the Senshi fight Galaxia. Sailor Cosmos does not appear in the anime. There is a silhouetted figure that appears quickly in the last episode of the series that appears to be Sailor Cosmos and is implied to be Chibi Chibi, but there's no name given to this figure, and it doesn't do anything but give Sailor Moon a sword and then leave. The anime doesn't mention this figure again, leading to years and years of debate over what it meant. All we know for sure is this was not Sailor Cosmos.
Aluminum Seiren is called Aluminum Siren in the dub. She isn't called anything in the dub because Sailor Stars STILL HASN'T BEEN DUBBED.
Tin Nyanko is called Tin Kitten in the dub. Again, Stars hasn't been dubbed, so it's rather hard to
change her name. Though the Mixx translation of the Stars manga completely botched her name and called her "Sailor Tein."
Raye wants to be a career woman and ditch the shrine. Rei is rather devoted to being a priestess. She's pursued one or two other interests, but they've always come second to being a priestess, and Rei's dream is listed in her stats as being a priestess.
The Amazones Quartetto girls are all 12 years old. They're closer to 14, though they dress older and seem to act younger (especially Palla Palla.)
The Amazones Quartetto leaves with Pegasus at the end of SuperS. They become normal girls in Tokyo at the end of SuperS. The Amazon Trio are the ones who leave with Pegasus, and that's only partway through the storyline.
In the future, all the planets were united under the empire of the Silver Millenium. The past. The Crystal Tokyo empire was only on Earth.
Princess Serena was named after her mother and the serenity of the moon. Which is why her mother was "Serenity" and the girl is "Serena." And this was a review of the dub.
Princess Serena was in love with Prince Ednymon. Prince Darien in the dub, Prince Endymion in the original.
There comes a night when a grand ball is being held at the moon palace. As Princess Serena leans over her balcony, waiting for the chance to dance with Prince Ednymon, he bursts into the courtyard under her window and calls out to her in a panicked voice. After taking a moment to catch his breath, Ednymon relays the whole story about the beginning of an invasion by the Negaverse that he's just witnessed happening. He must warn the Queen immediately, and does so. Queen Serenity wishes not to worry her people, and so she tells them nothing, secure in the knowledge that she can use her powers the thwart the attack. Princess Serena and Prince Ednymon have their "last dance" together and bid each other good-bye, just incase. When the invaders arrive, Queen Serenity uses all of her energy and her moon healing wand, adorned with the famed Imperium Silver Crystal, to destroy the attacking force. But the moon is ravaged, no decent living conditions survive. Also, the daughter she loved so much, dies in an attempt to save Prince Ednymon's life, but only joins him in death. And so, she uses her last bit of energy to save her family and kingdom by sending them to a nearby planet called Earth. By giving her own life, Queen Serenity restores Serena and Ednymon to life, but they'll have to grow up on earth and never see each other again. Okay, I know the dub changed the backstory, but it didn't change it THAT much. Seriously, picking it all apart would take all day! Now, back to my intense dissection of people's names!
That's the setting for the story and the opening plot. But the infamous Negaverse will not be rid of so easily. Even as Serena grows up as a normal fourteen-year-old girl in Tokyo, she suffers numerous attacks from droids that she has no idea about. Especially that one with the weird accent that went on to become Governor of California...
Serena's last name is "Tuskinagi." So, Tuskinagi...is that Irish?
Serena's favorite food is anything with sugar on it. Serena's favorite food is ice cream (and cake if you're going by the anime stats.)
Amy's hair is jet black. Wow. Sailor Moon summaries written by the color blind. Though the American dolls did have a black-haired Mercury for some strange reason...and since this was from a review of the anime from 2001, then it's not possible for the person to be referring to PGSM.
Amy's favorite foods are salad and sushi. Ami's favorite food is sandwiches (and honey in the anime stats.) Look, just because she's Japanese doesn't mean she automatically eats sushi either.
School, Studying, Computer Programming, Studying, Keeping Serena and Raye from killing each other, and Studying And here I thought her hobbies were reading and chess. I wonder if Ami knows C++? Of course, REAL programmers know Basic! And COBALT! And Javascript!
Raye's favorite foods are dumplings and cakes. Rei likes fugu (and Thai cuisine in the anime stats).
Raye's pets are ravens name Cronos and Porthos. Pluto's father and one of the Three Musketeers?
Raye's hobbies are Annoying Serena, Meditation, Divining, Praying, and Working at the Temple. Annoying Serena is a hobby? Is there a club I can join for this Annoying Serena hobby? And I didn't realize there were so many different words for "Fortunetelling."
Leita's favorite food is anything. First, since you're going off the dub, it's Lita. Anyway, her favorite food is cherry pie (and meatloaf in the anime stats.)
Lita's favorite color is Sugar Pink and Forest Green. While the anime stats do specifically say "Sugar Pink", the manga only lists pink, and neither of them lists any shade of green. The American doll boxes listed green.
Mina has green eyes. If you'd fix your television set, you'd notice she has blue eyes.
Mina's favorite foods are tea and crumpets. Despite her brief time in London, Minako's favorite food is still the very asian curry (and ramen and gyoza if you're going off the anime stats.)
Amy is 13, Serena is 14, Raye is 15, Mina is 16, and Lita is 17. Wow, so apparently Ami skipped a grade and Minako, Makoto, and Rei have all been held back in the eigth grade for a few years. They're all about 14 at the start of the series, give or take a few months by their birthdays (Makoto is actually the youngest out of them with her December birthday).
The identity of the person inside the Luna Ball was never revealed in the dub. The dub may have mixed it up the first time the face appeared, but they revealed it was Pluto in due course.
Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto were the first scouts to receive their Super forms. Actually, everyone but the Outers had gotten their Super forms by the time Sailor Stars started.
Cartoon Network has plans to air Stars, the movies, and the specials. Cartoon Network's broadcasting rights expired along with the all the others, and they never had broadcast rights for unlicensed
material.
The Garnet Orb was found inside Trista. The Garnet Orb is on top of Pluto's staff. It's not known when she removed it, but it's been there since her very first appearence.
The Moon Princess' identity isn't revealed until the end of the first season. They actually find her just over halfway through.
At the end of the Silver Millenium, the Negaforce trapped everyone, including the Scouts, Princess Serenity, and Prince Endymion. Hardly. The Dark Kingdom killed them. Even the dub stated that everyone had died, surprisingly.
When Serena becomes Neo-Queen Serenity in the future, she and Darien have a daughter, whom they name Serena, Rini for short. This is continuing the as-of-yet-unexplained tradition of the Queens in sharing names with their daughters. It is probably true that the original Queen Serenity, Serena's mother, was also named Serena in her youth, but adopted the name Serenity when she became ruler of the Moon Kingdom. Serena did the same, and Rini will probably do it as well. This is actually a problem created by the English dub, in which Serena has the same name in her past life. For some strange reason, she is still called Neo-Queen Serenity in the future, which made more sense in the Japanese version where her past incarnation was Princess Serenity. The dub has many strange inconsistencies like this. Chibiusa's name in the dub is never a nickname and apparently is her real name, because at no point does anyone say that it's short for "Serena" (though it's obvious that what the scriptwriters were aiming for). In the Japanese series, she doesn't pick up the name "Chibiusa" until she travels to the past (and she actually doesn't like it, but gets over it.) Though the anime never says this, the manga gives her full name as Usagi Small Lady Serenity, meaning that Chibiusa already has Serenity in her name.
