The first site layout. I had hoped to make it tables based, but finally broke down and went with the pop-up style I'm more used to. Since this was for a non-Sailormoon specific domain, I wanted to cut loose and decorate with something new. Thus, Roll-chan was an instant shoo-in. I picked up a copy of the Rockman.EXE manga while I was in New York over the summer of 2003 and found this adorable image of Roll.EXE and her operator, Meiru, and couldn't resist. I had hoped I'd get to use it for a design while I was at YumeMiru, but sadly, they closed before I could get a chance. So Roll became symbolic in a few ways - her digital nature made sense for a website, and being so very pink and full of hearts made her great when the opening date started approaching February (and Valentine's Day).
