What's new with the website? Come here to find out what's been updated recently, up to the past five updates.
I really meant to do this by now, but as that holy day of April 1st came closer and closer, I realized I'd better hurry up and close it before you folks thought I was just joking. I could give plenty of reasons, but the real reason is that I'm just not into updating a Sailormoon website anymore. Otherwise, I would make time for this site in between everything else. Sailormoon the anime and the manga ended nearly a decade ago. The Musicals stopped running in 2004. The live-action series ended early last year. There is little left for me to write about Sailormoon that hasn't already been written. There is even less rumor material along those lines. Even the veritable Sailormoon.com has dwindled, bless it's twisted soul. Therefore, as this site now becomes a static testament to the extremes of fandom, I am removing the rumor submission page since I will not be updating the site again.
I had a lot of fun working on this site. I think we had a good run - I got it linked on some websites I have truly admired over the years, had a minor flamewar with another site, but most importantly, I met a lot of people who made being a fan fun. It is for those people that SMULC will remain as a static site. Enjoy the insanity. I'm giving a very special shout-out to The Otaku Witch, alias GracieLizzy, who easily contributed the most material to this site. To the fine folks at Genvid - thank you for supporting me and even allowing me to blemish your front page with my presence. To Ian, you have given me an appreciation for women in bikinis in a totally platonic heterosexual way. To Bunny...eh, I'm just shouting out because you were always a cool person and it was an honor to find your site using me as a resource when I had admired your own work for so long. And of course, a very special thanks to Jackie Chiang in that great big ol' Internet for inspiring this site and never banging down my doors for making it one of the bigger representations of her own great, twisted idea.
Oh, and for the ten or so of you that signed up, I'm sorry to say the forums have been deleted. I couldn't justify the bandwidth for that little amount of activity.
If the passion for the site returns, if Sailormoon is reborn from the ashes for the next generation of fans, then I look forward to working with you all again. Until that time comes, I bid adieu.
